Historic Heritage projects on the Quantock Hills
Start Time 7:00 pm
Free entry, but donations gratefully received
Since 2020, the Quantock Landscape Partnership Scheme has been running many historic heritage projects across the Quantock Hills, including heritage conservation work, LiDAR interpretation, archive research and an extensive community archaeology programme.
On Wednesday, 20th September, Dan Broadbent, the scheme’s Historic Heritage Officer, will be sharing details of the project’s progress to date, along with plans for the future. Included in the talk will be reports on the discovery of a late Bronze Age enclosure, the search for a ‘lost’ medieval manor, current excavations of a possible henge site, and details of how Nether Stowey residents can get involved in archaeological investigations taking place in the village this autumn.
